One day introduction to the OpenSciEd Instructional Model

Are you curious about the OpenSciEd curriculum and approach? Experience an anchoring phenomenon routine and learn about the other instructional routines that make OpenSciEd engaging for your students. Explore the program scope and sequence and identify strategies for a successful implementation.

Curriculum Launch

Four day preparation to teach your first OpenSciEd unit

The OpenSciEd Curriculum Launch is the essential professional learning experience to get you on your way to successfully implementing this curriculum with your students.

Engage in learning as your students would to better understand the cognitive demands of OpenSciEd. Experience many of the hands-on investigations and the minds-on sensemaking opportunities. Analyze classroom videos of students engaging in instructions and teachers reflecting on the shifts. Discover the supports and routines embedded into the program that make OpenSciEd realize the vision of the Framework for K-12 Science Education and the Next Generation Science Standards.
