Special Events

Butterflies & Friends on Parade Be a part of this annual summer public art event as a member of the planning committee or by helping out the day of the art auction. Committee duties could include installing art, helping with promotions or planning decor. Day of volunteers help with set-up, take down, providing food and drink service and Auction assistance -  which includes bid spotting and record keeping.   

The Einstein Project Science Expo is always looking for enthusiastic people to be on the planning committee and help the day of the event. The committee helps plan the main stage line up, recruit new vendors and come up with ideas to keep Expo fresh. Volunteers for the event will help with set up, photography, exhibitors booths and take down.  

Festival Foods Grocers on the Green Golf Scramble Join Festival Foods and The Einstein Project for this fun day full of science and golf! Volunteers assist on the golf course, sell raffle tickets and assist with the silent auction.

Science Resource Center

Volunteers work alongside staff at The Einstein Project, seated in a well-lit, clean volunteer room. They assist with repairing, counting, sorting and measuring science materials. Volunteer duties might include working with various products such as: weighing or measuring apple slices or rice for the Food Chemistry unit, testing light blubs or motors for the Electric Circuits unit, counting and sorting cups and lids for the Life Cycle of Butterflies or Soils units, wiping out pails and tanks for the Motion & Design or Animals Studies unit, cleaning hand lenses or test tubes, etc.

Internships (college credit available if needed for your area of study)

Interns with The Einstein Project primarily work to support our special events and public relations needs. Duties can include mailings, facebook management, creating promotional materials, writing press releases and more.

Occasionally special projects focusing on science education and teaching do occur and students with interest in these types of efforts should contact us for the most current opportunities.
