The Sky (Kindergarten)

In this unit, children explore what they know about the shape, brightness and movements of the Sun and the Moon. Many of the activities involve the preparation of the props the children use in a dramatic play area, such as space helmets, moon rocks and control panels. Space vocabulary is learned through games, songs, jingles and finger plays. Grade level appropriate books extend the content of the unit and the experiences of the children.
