ACTIVITIES:
Bring in and use a Brailler
Have students tape some of their sounds on a recorder, so they can raise the volume to hear the differences in pitch better.
Hold a Family Activity Day/Night – centers where parents and students can do experiments/projects related to concepts learned.
Have the school nurse talk about the ear
Put the cup with salt/sugar in front of a radio speaker to see the latex vibrate better.
Use a tuning fork to touch the edge of the cup w/latex to make "ear drum" vibrate (better than using a noisemaker).
Lesson – 9 - Use a push pin to poke a hole in the bottom of the cup – easier than using a candle and paper clip
Make a panpipe, with straws cut to different lengths and taped together.

Play a cassette or CD of different sounds – students listen and guess what they are
